This International Hero Knits Sweaters of Places, Visits Those Places Wearing Them

Avid traveler Sam Barsky's packing list goes a little something like this:

  1. Toiletries
  2. Undergarments
  3. Shoes and socks
  4. Reading material for the plane
  5. Camera
  6. And a knitted sweater featuring the landmark he's about to visit

That's right — Barsky has formed his own niche in the world of knitting by crafting sweaters that depict images of landmarks, and he's always sure to snap a photo wearing them once he makes it to his final destination. From Times Square in New York City to Stonehenge in the UK, this knitting pro has been all over the globe sporting his one-of-a-kind creations. He even started crafting sweaters that feature ordinary objects like power lines and animals. To date, he has made 103 different sweaters — that's a whole lotta yarn!

The internet can't get enough of Barsky's creative masterpieces, as images of him and his sweaters went viral on Reddit. Barsky is officially our new spirit animal when it comes to travel. Check out some of our favorite sweaters ahead, and be sure to "like" his Facebook page to keep up with his future travels!
