Samuel L. Jackson was honored by friends and colleagues last night at the American Cinematheque gala in LA. The event was sponsored by AMC, so Jon Hamm was out with his girlfriend to support
Mad Men's home network, while JT hammed it up on stage.

David Beckham took in a Lakers game last night for the second time this week, but instead of
sitting courtside with his three sons he chatted it up with David Arquette and Denzel Washington. Victoria Beckham was off
celebrating Eva Longoria's Allure cover at Beso, but David wasn't short on female attention — he was
photographed chatting with Francesca Leiweke, whose father was
one of the men behind David's transfer to the Galaxy. It always raises eyebrows when he's spotted with another woman, but family man David deserves a little more credit than that.

Celebrity fans
come and go from the Lakers games, but David Beckham has become a permanent fixture at the Staples center. Last night Becks's favorite team continued their undefeated streak, beating the Houston Rockets at a home game filled with a
star-studded audience once again. Brooklyn accompanied his father courtside as the two shared laughs and a candy apple.

The LA Lakers helped kick off the NBA season last night with their celebrity cheering section out in full force. David Beckham was front and center as usual to support his fellow professional athletes, but this time without his
pint-size fans, while longtime Lakers lovers Leonardo DiCaprio and Kevin Connolly enjoyed a guys night out. Denzel Washington and his wife joked around with Governor Schwarzenegger, while Tobey Maguire watched intently.

Lots of lovely ladies were out last night to celebrate at the tenth annual White Tie and Tiara Ball in honor of the Elton John AIDs Foundation at Elton's estate in England. Will and Jada, Liz Hurley (who took the theme quite literally with her sparkly headpiece) and Orlando Bloom joined
newly-engaged Uma Thurman for the evening, which raised an impressive
$20 million. Mischa Barton was also on hand for the night, as she posed for photos with Kelly Osbourne and her man Luke Worrell.

London is teaming with megastars at the moment, as several celebrities are here to help mark Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday. Leona Lewis (
do you love or hate her green eyeshadow?), Will Smith, the Sugababes and Annie Lennox were amongst those who gathered at the Intercontinental Hotel yesterday for a photo shoot, which created the most amazing
school photo style picture I've ever seen! Even more stars attended the
lavish banquet on Wednesday night, and we can
expect yet more big names at the 46664 concert in Hyde Park tonight.

It was a 90th birthday party to remember for Nelson Mandela, who went big for his star-studded celebration in London's Hyde Park yesterday. Will Smith managed to tear himself away from his non-stop
promotional tour of Hancock to catch up with his buddies Robert de Niro, Forest Whitaker and Denzel Washington, and of course to spend some time with Jada. There was no sign of Amy Winehouse, but Naomi Campbell was happy to provide the drama, showing up even though Nelson personally requested she be
removed from the guest list after her
recent legal issues.

Stars from both sides of the Atlantic joined Nelson Mandela in Hyde Park yesterday to celebrate his 90th birthday. Gordon Ramsay
prepared the banquet for the 500 guests, which included those due to
perform at tomorrow's concert, with Leona Lewis, Annie Lennox and the Sugababes all stunning in bright colours. Although Amy Winehouse wasn't there her spokesman has
said "it seems likely" she will perform on the night.

The Lakers defeated the Spurs in LA last night, and there was plenty of star power in the seats to cheer them on. Cameron Diaz proved she's just one of the guys, having a courtside
Shrek reunion with Jeffrey Katzenberg and Antonio Banderas as well as hugging it out with Diddy. Adam Sandler, Tobey Maguire, and Denzel Washington were also in the house to join in on the fun, but it must have been a bit of a disappointing night for Eva Longoria and Tony Parker.
