Double Dare Is Getting Revived For Comic-Con to Smack You With Some Nostalgia

For '90s kids, it almost feels criminal turning on your TV and not seeing Legends of the Hidden Temple or Double Dare on there — especially during the Summer. Those wacky, Nickelodeon shows partly defined our generation, though they've sadly long been off the air.

That's what makes Nickelodeon's latest announcement particularly earth-shattering: Double Dare and its venerated leader Marc Summers will be returning for one night only during Comic-Con in San Diego. To honor the show's 30th anniversary, there will be a live production of the competition show on July 22. The revival will likely feature memorable challenges like the Double Dare Nose, the Wringer, the Hatch, and the Human Hamster Wheel.

For those not attending Comic-Con, however, the show will be live-streamed on The Splat's Facebook page at 9:30 p.m. PDT — at which point you can pretty much assume we'll be gleefully weeping at our computers.
