7 Hidden iPhone Features Apple Didn't Tell You About

When Apple showed off many of the flashy new features of iOS 9 at the Worldwide Developers Conference earlier last year, it left some off the list, probably because of time restrictions. Now that iOS 9 has been out for some time, we thought you'd like to know about everything the software has to offer — in addition to longer battery life and caller ID suggestion. A lowercase keyboard
Finally, you can switch back and forth between an upper and lowercase keyboard, a blessing to anyone who accidentally constantly shouts in texts.

Search in settings
Need to quickly get to a specific setting? You can just open the settings app and type a word within it.

Proactive search
Swipe left and you'll get the new proactive search, but you can still swipe down to get the usual search bar. The proactive search is a new feature that pulls up your favorite contacts and apps, attempting to make your iPhone even smarter and easier to use.

Folders in Notes
One of the newest features in Notes includes being able to sort different notes into folders.

Contact photos in Messages
Previously only available on the iPhone 6 Plus, all iPhones will finally get those tiny contact photo bubbles, making it an even more personal experience with text messaging.

New font
While Apple didn't make a big deal about no longer using the Helvetica Neue font, the entire keynote used the new San Francisco font.

Compatibility with older devices
For any Apple users who are content with their older devices, they will finally be able to download iOS 9 without having to worry about it slowing down their phone or being forced to upgrade to a new version.
