What to Expect When You're Expecting Sherlock Season 3

Sherlock's season three premiere in the UK on New Year's Day saw the series' highest-ever ratings with an estimated 9.2 million people tuning in to BBC One for the reveal of how the detective survived the Reichenbach Fall in the episode titled "The Empty Hearse." While fans in the US have to wait until Jan. 19 to legally view the new season (you best avoid the entire spoiler-filled Internet in the meantime), the cast and creators of the show have a little preview of what's in store for the show's new season.

As Benedict Cumberbatch explains "there's a lot to do in this one," which includes explaining that whole faked death thing, navigating the dangers of reintroducing himself to his BFF Dr. John Watson, and squeezing in a bit of saving the world. Watch Benedict, Martin Freeman, and creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss discuss the upcoming season below.
