This Video of Students Giving Their Teacher a New Computer Will Make You Cry

If you need proof that holiday miracles do exist, then you need to watch this sweet clip of a group of students giving their physics teacher a new computer. The video, which was tweeted by one of the teacher's students, shows how touched the teacher is by the gesture and is nearly impossible to watch without tearing up.

According to the tweet, physics teacher Steve Hlaudy, who teaches at Canfield High School in Ohio, complained about his computer's speed. His students heard his complaint and chipped in to buy him a new one. Twitter user miabattistal, a student at the school, filmed his reaction and tweeted the heart-warming video.

According to Hlaudy, around 70 students purchased the laptop for him, he told POPSUGAR in an emailed statement. The students were a mix of his physics classes and cross country team. The teacher, who has taught at Canfield High School for 22 years, was "totally floored" at receiving the gift. Hlaudy believes Canfield "is a pretty special place" and is happy that such a group of students came together to do this for him. "I am constantly trying to get young adults to consider that they are not who they are going to be yet, and that they are (and will be even more) powerful enough to make changes in this world," he said. "I sort of think this event reaffirms that."

The tweet, which was posted on Dec. 22, already has more than 35,898 retweets and 77,069 likes. It's exactly what you need to restore your faith in humanity after a rough year.
