Facebook's Year-in-Review Video Will Make You Cry in Under a Minute

Facebook just shared its annual video that looks back on the year's many triumphant, funny, and disheartening moments — and how they played out on the social media platform. Facebook debuted the 2016 year-in-review video with a caption that read, "Today, we remember what was on our minds in 2016 and the moments we shared together." The video includes highlights like history being made at the Summer Olympics, Pokémon Go, and NASA's unprecedented look at Jupiter. Many low points, however, also come to mind — namely the Orlando nightclub shooting, the Syrian refugee crisis, the entire United States presidential election, and the loss of many icons like Muhammad Ali, David Bowie, and Prince.

It was an emotional roller coaster of a year, one that Facebook parsed through with grace. Watch the video above.
