If presented with the opportunity to talk to their younger selves, most people would have a lot to say. "Don't get that perm" or "beware of boys with facial tattoos" would likely be prevalent pieces of advice — however, so would bits of encouragement and assurances that things get better. Thanks to YouTube's #DearMe campaign in honor of International Women's Day, your favorite content creators like Grace Helbig and Michelle Phan are doing just that in short videos.

"Go ahead and mess up big; failure is not the end of the world," gamer Felicia Day shared in her #DearMe post. "You are magical." Other YouTube personalities shared similar sentiments, saying that things would not always be as awkward and lonely as they are in school. Addressing bullying, body image issues, and sexuality struggles, the touching videos ring true for many viewers who didn't fit in during their teen years.

So . . . if you had the chance to say "Dear me," what would you say? Watch this compilation of the touching videos and get inspired to create one, too. While the 13-year-old you may not hear the message, there are plenty of young people who will.
