Halle Bailey's "The Little Mermaid" premiere look is giving Ariel, and we couldn't be more obsessed. Bailey attended the event on May 8 in Los Angeles wearing a custom-made Valdrin Sahiti dress with a bust shaped like shells for a futuristic take on a classic mermaid look. Bailey accessorized with a deep side part, diamond earrings, and metallic eyeshadow. Our eyes were glued to her chrome nails, which featured 3D nail-art resembling the inside of an oyster.

In a recent Instagram post, celebrity nail artist Yoko Sakakura shared a breakdown of how to achieve the look, and you know we hit the save button faster than you can say "under the sea." Sakakura started by cleaning Bailey's cuticles and applying a pH bonder. After curing a coat of Gel-X extend gel to the actor's natural nails, she began creating the nail art.

To achieve the stunning, ocean-themed look, Sakakura applied two coats of the AprĂŠs Gel Couleur in Secret Lagoon ($12), cured each layer for 60 seconds, and applied the AprĂŠs Heavenly Top Gelcoat in Angelic ($70) to give each nail a shimmery finish. Next, she applied a "small amount" of the AprĂŠs Diamond Gel ($17) to "place and secure crystals." She finished the look off with the AprĂŠs Top Gelcoat X ($13), which she said gave everything a "glossy shiny finish."
