Since gaining popularity in the past few years, the romantic waterfall braid has become a staple of hair tutorials, perhaps due to the fact that it is a slightly intimidating hairstyle. A recent tutorial, however, is taking the traditional waterfall braid a step further by creating a dual-sided braid that beautifully ties together at the crown of the head.
One hair vlogger broke down the look in a recent video that's growing with over 20,000 views. In it, she braids a substantial section of hair on one side — using the waterfall method, of course — and secures that braid with an elastic as she repeats the process on the other side. Once the braids are able to meet in the middle, she simply brings them together with another elastic. The result is an intricate look that would make Daenerys Targaryen jealous.
