A girl's got to look good when she goes home for the holidays, but you can't exactly stuff your whole vanity into a weekender bag. This might be a problem if your go-to palette is sunset-themed Desert Dusk ($65) from Huda Beauty, as the 18-pan beauty isn't what we'd call "portable." Luckily, Huda Kattan went and solved that problem for us with her upcoming Mini Obsession Palettes. Not only do these four shades come in sleek, stashable packaging, but at $27 each, the palettes are less than half the price of the Mama Bear offering.
Huda revealed Mini Obsessions on Snapchat and was quick to clarify that the shadows themselves are full-size. The product has been fit into a smaller case — and, luckily, its mirror looks pretty large. Huda called the bundles a combination of "all the most essential colors, in one place."
The four options are Smoky, Electric, Mauve, and Warm Brown. Huda said her favorite is Smoky, which features an absolutely gorgeous shimmering rose gold.
I'm partial to Electric (pictured), which is a departure from the cool, sandy colors Huda is known and loved for. This baby includes a breathtaking metallic sea green that I need painted on my eyes, like, yesterday.
The Mini Obsessions Palettes will drop on Nov. 1. Consider it an early holiday gift to yourself.
Each of these palettes includes nine shades, which is pretty impressive, since it feels like many minis only deliver four or six hues a pop.
Also included in Huda's holiday lineup is the (full-size) Winter Solstice Highlighter Palette. This looks like an icier version of her Summer Solstice ($45) release, but Huda said it touts a brand-new formula.
Huda wrote that she worked in the lab to redevelop the preexisting Solstice powders to be as "soft and buttery" as possible. Just one look at the pigmented white gold on her ring finger is enough to give this $45 release need-right-now status.
This celestial-embossed palette will launch on Oct. 27 at Sephora and ShopHudaBeauty.com.
