At the MTV Movie and TV Awards, some of our favorite stars graced the red carpet in their best threads and most outstanding makeup looks. This year some of the stars arrived wearing bold cobalt eye makeup or dramatic lashes, while others went in the exact opposite direction. Many of the guests arrived in pared-down nude hues, opting for shades of beige, brown, and bronze to let their natural features shine through.

Katherine Langford wore the jewel-tone eye makeup trend with bold purple liner applied by Stephen Sollito. The makeup artist used Pat McGrath Labs Mothership 1: Subliminal Palette ($125) in Ultimate Taupe and the Mothership 3: Subversive Eye Palette ($125) in Purple Reign to achieve the dramatic eye look.
To complement her powder blue suit, Yara Shahidi wore bold metallic cobalt shadow on her lids. Makeup artist Emily Cheng applied Pat McGrath Labs Mothership I: Subliminal Palette in Blitz Blue ($125) to Yara's lids.
Cristin Milioti added a pop of aqua liner on her lower lash line and kept the rest of her makeup looking pretty and simple.
Tessa Thompson kept most of her makeup neutral but added a pop of red eye shadow on the top and bottom of her lashes.
Talitha Bateman from Anabelle: Creation kept her makeup monochromatic with a lightly stained red lip and a wash of red shadow on her lids beneath well-groomed brows.
