Carine Roitfeld, the former editor in chief of Vogue Paris, is now global fashion director of the American publication Harper's Bazaar, and their latest collaboration is a new shoot that is a celebration of color in all forms. Using models with a variety of skin tones, Carine and her team created a series of truly stunning looks with makeup artist Peter Philips that are for anyone who isn't afraid of bold color.
In an editor's note accompanying the piece, Carine wrote, "This feature explores and celebrates the concept of beauty in its many forms and iterations, and the striking ways it intersects with couture. From pop colors and pastels to glittery gold and smoky, we've encapsulated a full spectrum of beauty and make up looks that are turning heads today."
These five stunning looks prove the power of color in all its forms — and make sure to see even more in the full story at Harper's Bazaar.
This intricate look was accomplished with Dior's 5 Couleurs Polka Dots Eyeshadow Palette ($62) in Bain de Mer, as well as Diorblush ($43) in Rose Chérie and Dior Addict Lipstick ($35) in My Love.
To achieve this contrasting look, the team used Giorgio Armani Maestro Foundation ($64), Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Intense Eyeshadow ($60) in Gold Blitz, and Giorgio Armani Ecstasy Lacquer ($38) in Leather.
One shot was an ode to pink, in the form of a model's Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress.
For one setup, a model was decked out in the brightest of reds, all from Chanel. On her lips, she wore Chanel Rouge Allure Intense Long-Wear Lip Colour ($37) in the color Pirate. As for nails, the team turned to Chanel Le Vernis Long-Wear Nail Colour ($28) in Pirate.
The model, clad in Chanel Haute Couture, sported the brand's Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation ($60) and Rouge Allure Intense Long-Wear Lip Colour ($37) in Pirate.
