If there's one thing we know about the Super Bowl, it's that it's never short on quality commercials that are (sometimes) even more entertaining than the game itself. Tons of brands typically go all out for the occasion with star-studded ads, some of which are quite hilarious, while others are moving. Sunday night's game, of course, didn't disappoint, and while we loved seeing stars like Jonathan Van Ness, Lil Nas X, and Maisie Williams take over some of the best commercials of the night, we also couldn't help but spot a few inspirational ads from some of our favorite beauty brands like Secret and Olay.
Check out the Super Bowl commercials from beauty brands ahead if you missed them last night.
Created in partnership with Girls Who Code, Olay's "Make Space For Women" campaign was inspired by last year's first all-women spacewalk. The ads themselves see five women — Busy Philipps, Lilly Singh, Nicole Stott, Taraji P. Henson, and Katie Couric — going on a fictional spacewalk of their own to prove there's enough space for women . . . in space. With every mention of #MakeSpaceForWomen on Twitter up until the Super Bowl, Olay donated $1 to Girls Who Code to support women and girls in STEM.
During the game, Secret unveiled an ad highlighting women athletes as a way to call out women and girls not being encouraged to play sports. The minute-long clip starts off with a football player gearing up to take a game-winning field goal kick, and by the end, it's revealed that the kicker and the ball holder are both women, specifically soccer stars Carli Lloyd and Crystal Dunn.
