One of Kim Kardashian's Favorite Mascaras Costs Just $6

Beauty editors, makeup artists and, it turns out, even Kardashians, have been known to swear by drugstore mascara. We can relate; it's hard to justify dropping more than $10 on a product with such a short shelf life. (Mascara should be replaced every three months.) Luckily, you need not look further than your local drugstore aisle to find some amazing mascaras. Even Kim Kardashian, who once made $14 million in three hours (and thus has plenty of coin to drop on lash care), swears by a $6 mascara.

In a recent post on her app, Kim copped to being "obsessed" with the L'Oréal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black ($6). "I've been using this product for years!" she wrote. "The color is the perfect shade of black and it really lifts and separates each lash."

For Kim, a big pro of this mascara is its versatility. As she wrote, "It's perfect for an everyday look, or you can layer on multiple coats for a more dramatic effect." Even her makeup artist and newest collaborator Mario Dedivanovic loves it, too.

We dig this drugstore mascara because it provides an intense, jet-black pigment without leaving a clumpy, spidery effect on lashes. It also has a thin wand, which makes it super easy to swipe on — with a little practice, you can even apply it without a mirror. We'll take 20, please.
