In 2015, Stephen Curry stole the spotlight with his NBA MVP regular season title and his part in taking the Golden State Warriors to win the NBA championship for the first time in 40 years. While his basketball skills are undeniable, he also got attention for his adorable family, namely his nearly 4-year-old daughter, Riley, and his wife, Ayesha. Since then, the family has only gotten more popular. Riley is cracking us up with more cute moments, and Ayesha got her own Food Network show and is blowing us away with her dreamy kitchen. But there's even more to her than meets the eye.
Ayesha may have been born in Toronto, but she actually grew up in Charlotte, NC.
The couple met at youth group in Charleston, NC, when they were teenagers but didn't actually start dating until August 2008. They were married in 2011 and will celebrate their sixth anniversary on July 30.
Ayesha proved she's eager to #savethebees with this October 2015 Instagram. She wrote, "Had a blast harvesting today with the family and @thebeeranchers . . . Love that we can produce our own local honey!"
Ayesha says her site, Little Lights of Mine, is her "place to give thanks and share the people, places, and things that bring light into my life." On the site, which is a POPSUGAR Select blog, you'll find recipes, fitness tips, and personal stories.
Ayesha shares cooking demos, parenting tips, and fun videos on her Little Lights of Mine YouTube channel.
Ayesha and her family call Walnut Creek, CA, home after recently moving from the nearby town of Orinda. The city is a short drive from Steph's Oakland workplace.
Ayesha produces her own line of extra-virgin olive oil, which she says is a "staple in [her] household kitchen." You can buy the product, along with high-quality aprons, on her website and at specialty stores like Diablo Foods. 10 percent of proceeds from the olive oil sales go to the charitable organization No Kid Hungry.
After announcing the exciting news on Instagram, Steph and Ayesha welcomed their second daughter, Ryan, in July 2015. They are also parents to daughter Riley, who turns 5 this July.
Both Ayesha and Steph are very vocal about their faith. Ayesha regularly shares spiritual messages on Instagram and told HelloBeautiful that her faith is "the foundation for everything that I do."
According to her Instagram caption, she got the ink first, and he followed.
