Kate Middleton and Prince William are making a special trip to Pakistan this Fall! On June 29, Kensington Palace announced the news, writing, "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Pakistan this autumn, at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office."

The trek will mark the first time the royal duo have ever visited the South Asian country. The palace has not yet disclosed any additional information about the trip, adding, "Further details will be advised in due course." Whether they will bring their children — Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 1 — has also yet to be confirmed. The high commissioner for Pakistan, Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, expressed his excitement over the announcement, tweeting, "Upcoming Royal visit reflects the importance UK attaches to Pakistan. Both countries enjoy historical links & wish to strengthen further."

Although Kate and William have never been to Pakistan, other British royals have journeyed there, including Queen Elizabeth II as well as Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker Bowles. "Her Majesty The Queen visited Pakistan in 1961 and 1997, and The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall visited in 2006," Kensington Palace noted in its statement.

Still, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge previously visited countries in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific. In 2012, they took a tour of the Asia Pacific region, where they stopped by Singapore, Malaysia, Tuvalu, and the Solomon Islands. Four years later, they traveled to India for a jam-packed sojourn.

This upcoming Fall is gearing up to be a busy time for the royals as Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, are also going on a tour of their own. They're set to visit Malawi, Angola, and other areas in South Africa where they'll bring awareness to important causes — notably Harry's charity Sentebale, which provides relief and support for children who are victims of extreme poverty and the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We're looking forward to seeing all the royals support charity work and international relations!
