Matt Damon's Dad Dies After Battle With Cancer

Matt Damon's dad, Kent Damon, has passed away at the age of 74 after a battle with cancer, the Boston Globe reports. Matt's publicist, Jennifer Allen, confirmed the news to the publication on Saturday, revealing that Kent died on Dec. 14 from multiple myeloma, a bone marrow cancer. While no other details have been disclosed, Matt recently asked for prayers while promoting his latest project, Downsizing. "My dad's sick, so that's been a process we're going through," he told Extra. "We'll take any prayers you got, so yeah, throw 'em up there." Our hearts go out to Matt and his family.
