When Robin Thicke took the stage to accept his award for best R&B song at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night, he acknowledged his split from wife Paula Patton in an interesting way. The singer thanked her in his speech, saying, "Most importantly, I'd like to thank my wife for her love and support and for putting up with me all these years." Robin also took the stage to perform a new song reportedly written for Paula, called "Get Her Back," during the show, in which he sings, "I gotta treat her right, I gotta cherish her for life. I gotta go get her, go get her, go get her, go get her back." The couple separated in February after nine years of marriage and nearly two decades together. Robin has been very vocal about wanting to win her back since the split.
