Elliot Page has signed on as executive producer of an Italian documentary titled Nel Mio Nome (Into My Name), which is set for a 2022 Berlin Film Festival premiere. It follows the lives of four friends, Nico, Leo, Andrea, and Raff, who are transitioning from female to male while struggling to navigate a binary world. The film is inspired by director Nicolò Bassetti's transgender son, Matteo.

"What stands out to me about Nel Mio Nome is the way it so artfully and intentionally presents all the different pieces that make up a person's identity," Page told The Hollywood Reporter about the upcoming documentary. "It's a meditation on trans humanity, and I've never seen another film like it."

He continued: "Knowing that Bassetti consulted closely with his trans son throughout production is so beautiful to me, and I think that lived experience and input is clear in the film's perspective. I'm honored to be on board and can't wait for everyone to see it."

In December 2020, Page publicly came out transgender via a moving statement posted on his Instagram and Twitter accounts. "Hi friends, I want to share with you that I am trans, my pronouns are he/they and my name is Elliot. I feel lucky to be writing this. To be here. To have arrived at this place in my life," he wrote at the time before thanking his millions of followers for their support. A couple months later, Page become the first transgender man to grace the cover of Time magazine.
