Last year's hot bestseller The Girl on the Train is going to be this year's hottest adaptation. Not only does it have a killer cast headed up by Emily Blunt, but it's still the book everyone is talking about. With the trailers out and lots of details around, we've got everything you need to know about it right here.
Emily Blunt is heading up the cast of the adaptation as Rachel, a woman who becomes entranced by a couple she rides by on her train commute every day. She's also struggling with her semi-recent divorce and her ex's new life. Also in the cast are Justin Theroux, Lisa Kudrow, and Luke Evans — see who everyone is playing.
There are multiple trailers to watch, which make the film look loyal to the book (and incredible).
The book is prominently set in London — Rachel's commute between a suburb and a city is how all of her observations start — but the movie will not be in the UK. The setting has been relocated to New York (also known for its trains). Don't worry that the film's British lead will lose her accent due to the change; Emily Blunt told the BBC that her character would stay British.
The movie will come out on Oct. 7, 2016.
The movie was filmed in New York, and we were treated to a batch of set pictures of Emily Blunt as Rachel.
