Harry Potter's New Cover Will Make You Believe in Magic

Obsessed with Harry Potter? Then you probably already know about the upcoming fully illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. Back in January, we got to see some pictures from the book, and now the colorful cover is available. Bottom line: it's beautiful. Jim Kay is the illustrator, and the cover features Harry Potter on Platform 9 3/4. He's the only person you can really make out, but other people are around him, as are pigeons and a white cat. It's a lot less terrifying than that original concept art from The Creature Vault. The book, which will be available on Oct. 6, will have over a hundred full-color illustrations. Scholastic is also planning on releasing illustrated versions of the rest of the books, so this is just the beginning, people.
