We can't be the only ones curious about what kind of trouble Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) and Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) are getting up to in the third season of You. For the latest installment of the popular drama-thriller, Netflix announced the additions of several new cast members — including Scott Speedman, Shalita Grant, and Travis Van Winkle — who are set to stir the pot in suburbia.
Season one was based on Caroline Kepnes's bestselling novel of the same name, and the second season focused on its sequel, Hidden Bodies. Kepnes recently completed the third book, which is set to drop in April 2021, so the upcoming installment will likely revolve around that storyline! Ahead, get a closer look at the You season 3 cast.
Gabrielle portrays Marienne, a smart, no-nonsense librarian who doesn't let much get by her.
Pedretti will reprise her role as Love, Joe's mercurial partner and mother of his child.
Badgley will return as Joe, the somehow endearing serial killer at the center of the series.
Grant will play Sherry, a Mom-fluencer who appears down to earth, but is actually a mean girl who only pretends to welcome Love into her social circle.
Speedman will play Matthew, a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He's reserved, mysterious, and has a tendency to be withdrawn . . . all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath.
Zurer plays Dr. Chandra. A chic, brusque, but extremely seasoned couple's therapist who has every intention of getting to the bottom of her patients' issues.
Safi plays Jackson, a high-powered tech attorney who manages to stay humble.
Mehl portrays Dante, a librarian who retains his wit and equanimity no matter what the day brings.
Van Winkle will play the wealthy Cary, who invites Joe into his inner circle.
Burrows returns as Love's mother, Dottie. After her son's death, Dottie is determined to pour her love and attention into Love and her new grandchild.
McManus plays Natalie, the mysterious next door neighbor and subject of Joe's growing fascination.
Arnold plays Theo, a college student with a strained and complicated relationship with his stepfather.
Astin is Gil. A mild-mannered geology professor is thoughtful, friendly, and genuinely good-hearted if a bit vanilla and naive.
The Greek alum will play a local television reporter named Ryan, who is a single dad with a history of addiction. According to his character description, "Ryan has secrets, including a controlling, calculating demeanor that he reserves for those closest to him and anyone who gets in his way."
