The Friday Drop: Taylor Swift, G-Eazy, Kid Cudi and More New Music This Week

YouTube | Taylor Swift

In case you haven't heard yet, Taylor Swift surprised us with another new album on Friday. Titled Evermore, the project serves as the sister album to Folklore, and it's filled with heartbreaking ballads and mesmerizing lyrics. We also have new music from Kid Cudi, who dropped the third installment of his long-running Man on the Moon series, as well as songs from G-Eazy and The Neighbourhood. As POPSUGAR editors, my colleagues and I love discussing our new weekly music finds, so check out our recommendations in the latest edition of The Friday Drop ahead.

"No Body, No Crime" by Taylor Swift

"Swift is a master of storytelling, and this song further proves that. I'm not exaggerating when I say I squealed with each new twist in the verses. The fact that it's a collaboration with Haim is just icing on the cake. This song has definitely made its way into my top 15 Taylor Swift songs." — Kelsie Gibson, editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Stargazing" by The Neighbourhood

"It's been a while since I've listened to The Neighbourhood, but given that 'Sweater Weather' happens to be one of my favorite songs, I was intrigued when I saw 'Stargazing' pop up on my New Music Friday playlist. Luckily, it did not disappoint. Jesse Rutherford's vocals immediately drew me in, and it only got better from there. Such a feel-good bop!" — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Happiness" by Taylor Swift

"You know those songs that are so devastatingly heartbreaking, they make you burst into tears with one single lyric? Yeah, that's 'Happiness.' Don't let the title fool you! The lyrics are incredibly bittersweet as Swift sings about learning to let go of the things or people that caused you the greatest pain." — Kelsie Gibson, editor, celebrity and entertainment

"She Knows This" by Kid Cudi

"Come through, production! This track on Cudi's latest album, Man on the Moon III: The Chosen immediately got me in the groove with its hard-hitting beat and witty flow. The Scott Pilgrim vs. the World sample is also pretty great. While the entire album is a masterpiece — it was worth the 10-year-wait — this is my favorite song for the time being. But, knowing how I am, my top pick will probably change with every listen." — Brea Cubit, assistant editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Years to Go" by G-Eazy feat. Goody Grace

"I always love when G-Eazy gets in his feelings, and 'Years to Go' is exactly that. The song itself is such a banger, but I can't help wonder who he's singing about. At first listen, it looks like it could be about one of his famous exes, but then again, he is currently dating Ashley Benson, so who knows." — Monica Sisavat, editor, celebrity and entertainment

"Willow" by Taylor Swift

"It might be too early to tell, but I have a feeling that 'Willow' will be my most-played song on Spotify in 2021. Just like the music video, the song is whimsical, sweet, and so catchy. It might be one of my favorite lead singles Swift has ever released." — Kelsie Gibson, editor, celebrity and entertainment
