I feel like we've scored a goal: Ted Lasso, the feel-good comedy on Apple TV+ starring Jason Sudeikis, will have a second season. The first season is full of positivity and fun as Sudekis's Ted, an American football coach, is hired to coach an English soccer team despite having no experience. However, he has many optimistic moments and quotable lines like, "When it comes to locker rooms, I like them just like my mother's bathing suit — I only want to see them in one piece." The humor will continue in season two, which will debut in 2021 and include 10 episodes. Apple renewed season two only a week after the first season premiered, and it also already confirmed season three!

As far as the plot of Ted Lasso season two, Brett Goldstein, who writes for the show and plays Roy, doesn't want to spill any spoilers. "We've already started to write season two. But I can't tell you anything. I don't want to spoil anything, because we have some nice surprises planned," he said. According to Bill Lawrence, the executive producer, season two will not include a COVID-19 storyline. "When we shot it the first time, this wasn't on our radar," he said. "If [COVID-19] is still a day-to-day issue when a second season comes out . . . people are going to want escapist entertainment. Half-empty stadiums with Zoom crowds? It's too weird to even be writing."
