This Mom Just Gave Birth in a Starbucks Parking Lot

A couple in Suffolk County, New York, was on the way to the hospital when they realized they wouldn't make it in time for the mom to give birth. Their only option was to pull over and deliver the baby with the assistance of 911 operators. Where they decided to park will be a story the baby hears for the rest of her life: Starbucks.

The emergency dispatcher instructed the dad on how to tie the umbilical cord and keep the baby safe until the ambulance arrived. While medical personnel eventually arrived, the dad was able to successfully deliver the baby on his own. The couple named her Sailor Jewel.
