Stephen Curry, point guard of the Golden State Warriors, became a household name this year — and not just because he was the NBA's MVP, but because his adorable little family gives us serious life goals. Steph, his wife Ayesha, and their daughters, Riley, 3 and Ryan, 5 months, started gaining attention after the MVP dad brought Riley to a postgame interview earlier this year — and the rest is history. If you missed any (or all) of the Curry family's big moments this year, you're in luck, because we're about to reminisce.
Read through to see how the Curry family quickly became — and remained — our obsession in 2015.
After he helped his team defeat the Houston Rockets in May, Steph attended his postgame interview with a then 2-year-old Riley in tow. While reporters attempted to get responses to their questions from Curry, Riley proceeded to treat her audience to funny faces, waves, comments, and giggles (and even a hilarious game of hide-and-seek with her daddy).
In what may have been the cutest sports press conference ever, Riley played peek-a-boo behind a curtain, asked her dad for some help putting on a bracelet, yawned, waved, and even sang "Blessings" by Big Sean and Drake (which Drake then shared on Instagram). Though some reporters took issue with the tot's presence in the press room, the rest of the world fell more in love with the pint-size cutie.
Steph's iconic "chest bump and point to the sky" ritual became a family affair before a June game against the Cavaliers. The NBA posted this slow-motion video to their YouTube channel of Ayesha lifting Riley to Stephen as they performed the ritual, which was followed by the world's most adorable father-daughter kiss.
To help Ayesha and Stephen prepare for Ryan's arrival, Pottery Barn Kids outfitted them with all the nursery room essentials — from a new crib and a stylish rocker to loads of cool, neutral touches — and we all got major baby-room envy.
Before baby number two arrived, Steph took Riley on a daddy-daughter date to the movies, and posted this sweet snap to Instagram. "Someone was excited to see a movie about a girl named 'Riley.' I give that movie a 10/10. Great story. Made everybody laugh. And baby girl actually sat through the whole thing," the caption read — which cued a collective "awww" from the whole world.
Shortly after Ryan's birth, Riley turned three and performed an impromptu dance to "Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)" that — thankfully — her mama caught on video.
It was the kiss seen 'round the world. In August, Stephen took to Instagram to post a photo of his two sweet girls together, and everyone melted into a puddle where they stood.
Stephen Curry was a Jimmy Kimmel Live! guest back in August, but Riley — as usual — stole the show. Midinterview Jimmy called attention to Riley becoming a viral star, and the audience applauded louder than they did when Stephen walked out. She sat proudly on her mama's lap and smirked for the camera, which was all just too much cuteness to handle.
In November, 3-year-old Riley made her modeling debut for Freshly Picked, becoming the face for a pair of their kid moccasins, The Next Steps. The photos of Riley in the adorable gold kicks showed off her big personality and made us wish the moccs came in adult sizes, too.
