After seeing Kate Middleton and Prince William make their way into the Carlyle Hotel on Sunday evening and then to a private dinner shortly afterward, we had high hopes for the duchess's New York ensembles. After all, she strolled the streets of New York in a glittering Seraphine coat and an Amara lace Beulah London cocktail dress ($797), all in just a few hours.
Of course, the duchess's stylish daytime looks didn't disappoint. She channeled her inner New Yorker in two chic coatdresses, the first by Goat and the second by American designer Tory Burch. And today she wore a bright, hot-pink number by Mulberry to tour the National September 11 Memorial Museum and the Empire State Building and, later, attend the Creativity Is GREAT reception — where she took off her jacket to reveal a black turtleneck dress and a chunky pendant necklace.
Aside from the duchess, we were really focused on what Jenna Lyons wore when she shook Kate's hand: loose navy trousers, a striped button-up, statement heels, a fringe-embellished ombré top, and a handful of rings. Sounds about right. Keep reading to see Kate meet one of our all-time favorite designers while sporting her own fabulous accessory: a growing baby bump! Then get the details on everything the duke and duchess have worn in NYC so far, and stay tuned for the next appearance from the impossibly chic pair.
