Taylor Swift attended the 2020 Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of her Netflix documentary, Miss Americana, which comes out Jan. 31. She was dressed very much like we'd expect her to be for the occasion in a Carmen March outfit. We're becoming well-versed in her famous style, which has become a signature on both the red carpet and the stage thanks to Joseph Cassell. Taylor's looks are always just slightly shy of costume-y, but they're sophisticated when they need to be. This was certainly an important moment for Taylor, who teased the trailer on her Instagram page, writing, "It's been a long time coming."
Taylor was decked out head to toe in houndstooth plaid for this particular event. Even her heeled booties featured the exact buzzy print — the pair must've been customized for her, as Carmen March doesn't have footwear readily available online. While Taylor's bustier-style top does come in a bralette version, the high waistline on her pants prevented a peek at the midriff, and Taylor added a long jacket over her shoulders for extra layers. She showed off her signature bright red lip and wore glitter nail polish and multiple silver rings. It was once she walked outside that we caught a glimpse of those boots and immediately wanted to style them in our own casual way, with baggy denim and a white t-shirt for a night out at the bar.
