This Garlic Peeling Hack Is So Mind-Blowing, It Made Chrissy Teigen Say, "Whaaaaat?"

Almost every entrée worth eating includes garlic, but the peeling process can be a frustrating chore. Luckily, the task I often delegate to my husband has just gotten a bit easier, thanks to a garlic peeling hack shared by Twitter user @VPestilenZ. If I can avoid those sticky (and stinky) fingers, I will, thankyouverymuch.

The user shared a video of a speedy technique, which requires a head of garlic and what appears to be a paring knife. The cloves are removed one at a time, by spearing the knife through the center of each piece and pulling to the side. How have I missed this hack for so long?! Turns out, I'm not alone. The internet went bonkers over @VPestilenZ's mind blowing video, and renowned cookbook author Chrissy Teigen even had something to say about it. "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT," she wrote, retweeting the video.

Here's the thing: there are mixed reports as to whether or not this hack actually works. A few Twitter users have tried and failed to replicate the video's results, while others report major success. Apparently, it all comes down to the knife you use at home — the shorter and blunter, the better. Ahead, see the video that started it all, plus a few across-the-board reactions.
