If you're a Whole Foods shopper who frequents the store's hot- and cold-bar section, you're going to love this one exciting feature in the company's new Whole Foods 365 stores. Each store will have a grab-and-go section that expands beyond the store's traditional offerings and features more millennial- and foodie-focused options.
In an official statement, a 365 by Whole Foods spokesperson said, "In the large grab-and-go section with an array of prepared foods options, shoppers can order hot dogs, bowls made with quinoa, rice, and veggies, and pizza from self-serve kiosks. Prepared foods items meet the same quality standards as all products sold in the store."
The best part is the foods from the bar will be priced by size, rather than weight like at regular Whole Foods stores. That means you could fill your medium-size box with salad or fried chicken, and it'll cost the same amount. A small box (eight ounces) is $5.50, a medium (16 ounces) is $7.50, and a large (24 ounces) is $9.50.
Here's a sampling of the types of menu items you can expect:
The first 365 store just opened in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles, and more locations will continue to roll out through the rest of 2016 and 2017. Excited shoppers at the Silverlake location have already shared sneak peeks on Instagram.
