Unfading Beauty Photography

A memorable wedding is one that's a unique reflection of the bride and groom's distinct tastes and family histories. You can honor both of these things when planning your big day by incorporating vintage decor elements. Whether you're a classic bride who wants everything from the china diner plates to the dance floor chandeliers to be antique or you're an eclectic bride looking to pepper your big day with a few special heirloom pieces, there are certain types of wedding decor that always look great vintage. Mandana Dayani, the chief brand officer of online estate sale website Everything but the House (EBTH), explains what they are and how to incorporate them to stunning effect ahead.

Bar Cart

Mandana advises, "A great midcentury-modern bar cart makes a chic setting for displaying those crystal champagne flutes." And for brides who want something a little different, she recommends you "put a twist on its conventional use and create a cute dessert table!"

China Plates

"A great collection of antique china is a staple for any wedding." She adds that it's also perfect for entertaining in your home once you're married. And don't stress if you need to mix a few sets in order to accommodate all your guests. "An assortment of designs imparts a fun, eclectic feel to the traditional table setting and makes for amazing Instagram photos for your guests."

Candlesticks

"Candlelight sets the perfect wedding mood, and vintage candlesticks are such a nostalgic, beautiful decoration," says Mandana. She recommends placing them on the table for a simple yet classic centerpiece or scattering them throughout the venue for romantic lighting.

Cake Stand

"Vintage crystal or porcelain pedestal cake stands always look amazing in wedding cake photos. Their classic design exudes elegance with a whimsical touch."

Heirloom Brooch

Looking for something to personalize your bouquet? "Heirloom brooches are the perfect accessory when it comes to bouquet decor," says Mandana. "Colorful gemstones — perhaps [a sapphire] as your 'something blue' — or pearl brooches can serve as a simple ornamental touch on a floral design."

Chandelier

Mandana shares, "I love seeing vintage chandeliers suspended over the dance floor for an enchanting outdoor environment. We had several of them at my wedding, and they looked stunning in every photo!"

Crystal Champagne Flutes

"Everyone knows a wedding is not complete without Champagne — plus some beautiful crystal flutes to serve it in! So simple, yet so classy."

Cake Knife

"A sterling-silver cake knife makes the perfect keepsake," says Mandana, adding, "And it complements those gorgeous cake stands in the photos capturing your special moment!"

Serving Trays

Mandana advises, "If you're opting for a buffet-style reception, elegant serving trays are a must." Her favorites are sterling silver or detailed porcelain, but she says tiered serving trays are perfect for smaller desserts.

Vases

"An array of vintage vases in various sizes, shapes, and colors make classic centerpieces really pop," says Mandana.

Napkin Rings

"Little details make a huge difference, and unique napkin rings make for a memorable touch that's quite impactful," says Mandana. And for the ambitious bride, she says you "can even have them engraved and then offer them as keepsakes for their guests." That will be a wedding favor guests never forget!

Ice Bucket

"You'll need something to store your bubbly in, and nothing looks more festive than an ice bucket perched atop a bar." When scouring vintage marketplaces for the perfect one to suit your wedding, she says, "Look for something in silver or crystal whose design subtly echoes the rest of your wedding decor."
