Only Joanna Gaines Could Convert a Garage Into a Dream Kitchen

Magnolia Blog

Few people can walk into an ugly garage and visualize a rustic open-concept kitchen that spills out into a chateau-inspired living room — but Joanna Gaines is one of those people. In Fixer Upper's recently aired episode 14 of season four, featuring the Ignacio family, she does just that, making the space welcoming, beautiful, and completely unrecognizable.

Joanna begins by knocking out walls, replacing the old linoleum and tile flooring with dark wood, and — dramatically — raising and vaulting the ceiling with exposed beams. And then there's the kitchen itself, anchored by an oversize antique-looking island and featuring a stucco oven vent and handmade stone backsplash. The entire look is straight out of the Italian countryside and pure perfection. Get the complete details on the Magnolia Blog and take another peek at the stunning space below.
