Amy Wells: Transitional Eclectic with a teeny bit of Hollywood Regency — only tiny!

PS: What went into designing her bedroom?
AW: Deciding on a calm color palette was the first choice that telegraphed to the rest of the room. Once I found that smoky purple velvet for the headboard, I could move on to all the other elements . . . I like to mix textures as well as patterns. Olivia's room is not overly matchy-matchy and also has a mixture of vintage and new. It feels like she put it together over a period of time, which is what I wanted.
