You don't need a fairy godmother to transform your plastic pumpkin into a realistic decoration. Jennifer Decorates blogger Jennifer Davenport has a genius technique for creating a Halloween pumpkin that you can reuse every year!
Start with your plastic pumpkin.
Find some "burnt umber" acrylic paint and dilute it.
After watering down the paint, brush it onto the pumpkin.
Gently wipe up and down over the paint to create the smudged, authentic look of the pumpkin.
Voilá! You would never know this pumpkin is plastic.
