The truth is, we live in a world where stereotypes run rampant — especially when it comes to costumes. Which is frustrating given Halloween is the one time of year when people should feel free to transform into anyone they want — within reason. (Let's collectively agree that blackface is a huge "no.") Why must the Asian girl always be Mulan? Or the black woman be Tiana? Or the Indian girl Pocahontas? Why should we only associate Cinderella as white? And why are we as women restricted to female costumes? What if we want to be a prince?!

Deepica Mutyala has a solution for all of these questions: be your own princess! Or prince, for that matter. Deepica teamed up with #MadeatSmashbox to create this video; she starts by texting with a friend who asks what costume she'll be wearing for Halloween. When Deepica responds with "a princess," the friend comes back with a comment about how she'll "surely find her Aladdin."

She then takes us through several costumes, including Jasmine, Ariel, Cinderella, and even Prince Charming, too! And frankly, she looks perfect as all four options!
