A decade ago, TV networks like Bravo and The CW were all about America's Next Top Model and Project Runway — but these days, there's a new kind of show to binge-watch: beauty competitions.

In 2017, for example, Lifetime debuted American Beauty Star, a competition series hosted by Adriana Lima and featuring Sir John, where six hairstylists and six makeup artists work to create an entire beauty look for their models. The following year, Lifetime premiered Glam Masters, a show produced by Kim Kardashian meant to find the next top beauty influencer.

Now, Tori Spelling is hosting the new show The Look: All Stars, which premiers on CW & My Network Stations of SBG and Tribune and is available to stream exclusively on Modern Salon, according to WWD. The series features celebrity hairstylist Kim Vo and aims to focus on beauty tips rather than dramatic plot lines. Each episode requires the teams — consisting of makeup, hair, and fashion professionals — to give someone a head-to-toe makeover, all while providing expert advice on how to get the look.

Although there will always be a place in our hearts for fashion shows, we have to admit there's something refreshing about watching someone give a lesson on how to get the perfect smoky eye — without having to sift through thousands of YouTube videos to find it.
