Dead Elf on the Shelf Makeup Tutorial

Elf on the Shelf Got a Terrifying Makeover in This Makeup Tutorial

I had never heard of Elf on the Shelf until adulthood, and will admit I was mildly terrified to learn that parents tell their kids a doll is watching them and move it around their home. This might just be my own fear of scary dolls, but apparently I'm not the only one who has considered the custom's dark underside. Makeup artist Charlie Short created a morbid makeup tutorial featuring the festive toy getting impaled in the head by a candy cane. If I wasn't already getting weird seasonal nightmares, I sure am now. Regardless of the gore, there's no doubt this makeup look is majorly impressive, and we can't look away from the doll's ill fate.
