Contouring can seem a tad bit overwhelming and intimidating for us everyday girls on the go. It can be intimidating, from picking the right shade to mastering which brush to use and where to apply the contour. ("I mean, is my face round, oval, square, heart? OMG. I feel an anxiety attack coming on.")

I don't know about all of you, but I just want it to be easy and natural-looking! I love to use a contour pencil because it is super easy to use and better yet no makeup expertise required. If you can write your name, you can contour with a pencil. Trust me (aka, the lazy-girl beauty expert).

So here are some tips on how to achieve those sculpted cheekbones without the time and commitment. Ka-ching.

Step 1: Find your cheekbone

Step 1: Find your cheekbone

Typically, I just pout and draw in the hollow of my cheeks or just place the pencil on my cheekbone and roll it to find the hollow of my cheek.

Step 2: Draw a straight line and/or curved line

Step 2: Draw a straight line and/or curved line

Using the Nudestix Sculpting Pencil ($24), draw a line in the hollow of your cheekbone, starting at the hairline (let’s not draw too long of a line because remember you will be blending it out) until a few inches away from the outer corner of your lip, aligning with the center of your eye.

Step 3: Blend it out

Step 3: Blend it out

Blend it out with your fingers. I like to blend in the direction of my contour line and slightly upward.
