Update: Surprise! Huda was playing an April Fools' joke on us all, so the Fender won't be launched anytime soon. We have to admit, though, we saw some real promise in this idea, and we weren't alone. Who knows? Maybe Huda will be inspired to release a take on this product someday.

Original story: Entrepreneur and influencer Huda Kattan is one of the savviest brand founders out there. She is ahead of the curve, because she sees voids in the beauty industry and makes products designed to fill those needs. Case in point: her upcoming launch.

After developing her bestselling Rose Gold shadow palette, Huda explained that the best way to apply certain shades was to press pigment into the lids with a fingertip. She soon received loads of complaints from fans, citing that this method was too messsy or difficult for those with long nails. That's why she decided to invent the Fender, aka the Finger Blender.

The applicator (which uses "finger technology") looks just like a finger on a handle. It even has a trendy (but short!) chrome nail to add a little flair to the Fender. Huda demonstrates above how easily it picks up pigment and lays it down for spectacular shimmer and dimension. "I really think this is going to be the next big thing," she says.

According to Huda, she will be rolling out Fenders in different sizes, but the initial launch will be on April 1. (An interesting choice of dates, don't you think?) Watch the video above and see what you think.
