This 1 Mother With Stretch Marks Re-Created Kendall Jenner's Calvin Klein Ad

While Kendall Jenner has an aspirational flat stomach, most of us do not. The model showed off her toned tummy in a supersexy Calvin Klein ad in January 2016. The campaign inspired Texan Brenda DeRouen, a 26-year-old mother with an 8-year-old son, to imitate the photos with a fresh perspective. Brenda has struggled to accept her own middle since giving birth as it now has stretch marks. In her faux Calvin Klein ads, shot by Deun Ivory, Brenda shows off her beautiful, line-adorned abdomen.

We learned last year, via the viral #LoveYourLines Instagram hashtag, as well as through POPSUGAR Editor Ryan Roschke's personal essay about living with stretch marks, just how important and challenging body acceptance is. While Brenda told The Daily Mail that she thinks Kendall's ad is beautiful, she hopes her photos help others to embrace their looks.

On her blog, Brenda writes: "You may not have stretch marks from pregnancy, hell; you may not have stretch marks at all. But I guarantee you there is something that you are struggling with. Whether it's your weight, your hair, or your breast size. Just know that there is no such thing as a perfect body. Most pictures that you see nowadays are photo-shopped and edited anyways. You are beautiful. Every scar and every imperfection, has a story that makes you uniquely you. Your body is your temple. Embrace it and show it the love and attention that it needs. Never let anyone make you feel like your body is not worthy of appreciation."

Brenda's messages in empowering, inspiring, and brave. Keep reading to see more images from her gorgeous photoshoot.
