Who it works for: "This look is perfect for fair to medium skin tones, as it will add softness and warmth with a hint of gold left behind after lifting," explained Curse.

Christine Thompson, color director and co-owner of Spoke & Weal, added that "this works best for healthy, well-treated hair, as it can look damaged quickly."

"Ask for a color-melting technique to softly blend the colors in so that there is a seamless transition in colors," advised George Papanikolas, a celebrity hair colorist for Matrix who's worked on big names like Kim Kardashian and Gigi Hadid. "This gives it a soft, feminine feel with a punk edge."

Who it works for: “This hair color is best for people who have naturally lighter hair,” said Papanikolas. “Dark hair can achieve this look, but the bleaching process can be hard on the hair. You will need to have your colorist prelighten to a pale blond so that these delicate shades can be visible.”

Description: "K. Michelle has taken a bold approach by revving her color up with neon shades of yellow and green," Curse said. "The multidimensional look can be achieved by lifting the hair to different levels of blond, blending the combination of both green and yellow toner, and applying toner all over as a single-process color. The results create high- and lowlights within a vibrant color."

Who it works for: "This look works well on medium to dark tones to prevent the intensity of the color from overpowering lighter skin tones."

Description: "Kelly is radiant in her free-flowing intermix of pastel violet and lavender," Curse said. "By first lifting the hair to a platinum color, build from your base with gray, then add violet and lavender tones using a balayage for richness. The gray base adds depth and dimension and also helps to mute other colors for a more demure finish."

Who it works for: "The silver and purple hues combined create a soft complement to any skin tone. This multidimension allows the color to be bold yet delicate," Curse said.

Description: This vibrant, electric pink color on Amber will definitely make you stand out in a sea of blondes and brunettes. To achieve this hue, you’ll need to start with blond or prelightened hair. “The great thing about vibrant pink tones is that the hair does not need to be prelightened to a superpale blond,” noted Papanikolas. “It can still have some yellow to it, which means less bleaching of the hair, which keeps it in better condition."

Who it works for: This color works well on many skin tones. It’s especially flattering on fair and medium complexions with rosy or golden undertones and dark complexions with cool undertones.

Description: "Ruby has a creative emerald crown that is an amazing contrast to her brunette tresses," Curse said. For short hair like Ruby's, Curse explained that the color can be effortlessly achieved by using platinum extensions. "Tone the extensions with emerald green and clear toner for a brilliant shine before interlocking into the crown braid," he said. For hair that's already long, ask your stylist for a "high lift using an ombré technique and green toner."

Who it works for: "This color is a perfect jewel tone that would be striking on most skin tone," Curse said.

Description: “Amethyst is a jewel tone that is so popular right now,” Papanikolas said. Like many of the colors in this roundup today, it requires you to prelighten your hair to a pale blond. “If you are concerned with damage, then extensions in this hue a great way to play with these tones without the damage or salon commitment.”

Who it works for: Dark complexions with warm undertones will notice that their skin looks positively glowing with this amethyst hue. It also works well on medium and fair complexions with cool undertones.

Description: Lily is wearing a deep, sapphire jewel tone. The key to achieving the same richness is to make sure your stylist starts with the right base. “It's easiest to re-create on lighter hair, as this color requires the hair to be prelightened past the yellow tone. If the hair is too yellow, your end result will have a green undertone,” noted Papanikolas.

Who it works for: “Since this color doesn't really occur in nature on humans, it really works with anyone who has an edge and wants to push the boundaries of hair color.”

"The mixture of orange, pink and red have blended superbly for a bold and catching color," explained Curse. "This look can be achieved by colorblocking when toning the lightened hair with shades of red, orange, and pink. The creative placement of color panels around the face is essential."

Who it works for: "This look is great for light to medium skin tones, especially tan or bronze skin. The depth and dimension within the color will enhance the natural radiance of the skin," said Curse.

Description: Louisa has an ultraplatinum base with a sheer wash of violet on top. “The very pastel violet tone requires you to either have very light blond hair, or you must prelighten to a pale blond first. Then you can add the sheer tone over the blond,” noted Papanikolas. “You will also need to come back to the salon for regular toners, as these pale pastel tones tend to wash out and fade really quickly.” High maintenance but totally worth it!

Who it works for: This coloring looks best on medium complexions with cool undertones. It can also work really well on fair skin as long as you have warm undertones.
