The campaign behind Miu Miu's debut fragrance has a little bit of something for everyone. There's the fantastic clothing (of course) for fashion girls, beautiful product packaging for us beauty junkies, and a precious kitten for the animal lovers. But perhaps most interesting is the ad's star, critically acclaimed actress Stacy Martin, whose role in Nymphomaniac got moviegoers buzzing.

The French star seems to closely identify with the Parisian definition of beauty — simple and chic. She admits, though, that her natural beauty routine mostly stems from laziness. "I have eyeliner, but I actually don't know how to put eyeliner on," she confesses. She's still working to master her Benefit gel liner ($24), just like many of us. She is also afraid to tweeze her own eyebrows and resorts to threading, which she describes as "the most painful and incredible thing at the same time."

That said, the self-professed "basic" beauty girl has some fantastic advice when it comes to skin care. Plus, she reveals the best tip her mother ever gave her: to not wear makeup. Read on to learn more.

The Fragrance

This is the fashion brand's first foray into fragrance, and it is a beautiful premiere. While many designer scents tend to wrap you in a large, smoky cloud, Miu Miu ($86) is a more intimate scent, perfect for when you want someone to get even closer.

Composed of classic white flowers, green notes, and a hint of rose, the scent is a chic choice for anyone from a precocious teen to a sophisticated businesswoman. You'll feel instantly transported to a Spring garden with each sniff. The powder blue and red packaging is a nod to the label's iconic matelassé leather bags.

Stacy sees a strong parallel between the emotional power of fragrance and music. "You don't intellectualize smelling a scent," she explains. If you smell something and it reminds you of someone, it's almost quite aggressive because it just hits you. Music is the same thing — that level of unpredictability."

Stacy owes her incredible skin to just two products: the model-approved Bioderma Créaline ($25), a micellar water, and Eau Précieuse ($20) toner. "When I'm in Paris, I immediately hunt down a pharmacy and stock up on products."

Travel Essentials

Whether she's visiting her family in France, walking red carpets around the world, or returning home to the United Kingdom, Stacy is a seasoned traveler. She relies on Elizabeth Arden Fragrance-Free Eight Hour Cream ($21), Kiehl's In-Flight Refreshing Facial Mist ($14), and L'Occitane Hand Cream ($12) to keep her skin from getting parched on the plane.

Why You Shouldn't Wear Makeup

"If you can avoid wearing it [makeup], then you definitely should. How far are you going to go thinking that you're not beautiful or not perfect enough? You should just be you."
