ICYMI, "glass skin," an Asia-born beauty trend of having blemish-free, reflective skin, swept Instagram feeds everywhere last year. Now, Farsali has come out with Liquid Glass Radiance Make-Skin Serum ($54), a liquid that promises to give you the same effect while simultaneously hydrating and priming the skin for makeup.

If that sounds like a tall order, that's because it is. Farsali has managed to pack the bottle with ingredients that make skin shine (like mica) and stay hydrated (like watermelon and sodium hyaluronate). Cosmetic chemist Ginger King noted that the one drawback you might face while trying this blend is that it might be sticky.

Knowing that, I washed my face before applying it. I figured that if I was going to live the clear, glossy skin life, I should probably start with the cleanest canvas possible. Then, I released a dropper-sized amount of the silver serum onto my cheeks and spread it across my cheeks. It looked super slick — the way it would if I had slathered on a face oil — but when it dried down, I was left with the coveted dewy look, with a slight hint of shimmer from the glitter.

At first, my skin did feel sticky, but then that tacky feeling slowly went away as the serum dried down. Within hours, the liquid completely absorbed into my skin. It has left my complexion feeling smooth, with a little bit of a reflective property. I haven't been wearing much face makeup lately — just BB creme and a little bronzer — and this product makes me comfortable enough to be completely bare-faced.
