"We were SO persistent when we were trying to get our lashes stocked in Sephora, and we never gave up! I knew that there was a demand for false lashes and my sisters and I had a vision for what Huda Beauty could be, so we stayed determined and didn't lose sight of what we wanted to achieve. How well you're able to remain focused can ultimately define your success."

"I am always asked what I look for when hiring, and I think having a good social presence is one of the most underrated things! My team and I always check LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook before we invite candidates in for an interview. It helps me understand what kind of person they are. I love to surround myself with interesting, opinionated personalities — people who are secret geniuses — and I think you can tell a lot about a person based on their social media channels. Having a uniqueness to you will make you stand out for sure."

When it comes to pursuing your dream, keep focused and only do it if you are 100 percent passionate about it. Stay true to yourself and do what you love and it will never be a job. I know it sounds cliche, but it's true. You will excel not because you're good at it, but because your love for it actually drives you."

"I'm a big believer in routines and planning and, because of that, I am super efficient and I get a lot done in a day. Although I spend most of my time in meetings, I always set time aside for personal planning in the evenings and mornings. Once I get to the office, I always keep 30 minutes aside for myself to plan for the day ahead and get into the right mindset. Once the day is done, I have an hour of me time as soon as I get home when I reflect on the day and do whatever I feel like doing to unwind. I can't stress the importance of me time enough!"
