Jennifer Lopez's Floating Eyeliner Look at the American Music Awards Is on Point

Before Jennifer Lopez even hit the stage at the 2020 American Music Awards, she stole the show with her floating eyeliner look. Honestly, though, we'd expect nothing less from the queen herself.

J Lo's out-of-the-box makeup was by celebrity makeup artist Mary Phillips, who used all Pat McGrath Labs products. If you thought the graphic liner was reminiscent of Twiggy's iconic makeup look, you hit the nail on the head. According to Phillips's Instagram caption, she wanted to go for a '60s-inspired "sultry graphic liner" with a modern twist. For the smooth line, Phillips used the Pat McGrath Labs PermaGel Ultra Glide Eye Pencil in Extreme Black ($28).

For her hair, J Lo wore her dirty-blond lob in loose, wet-looking waves created by celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton for ColorWow. "Nothing better than a fresh cut for fall," said Appleton of the inspiration in a press release. "Adding a wet-look finish as a sexy wearable texture that when done right, is a beautiful glam look." The secret to J Lo's faux wet hair is the Color Wow Extra Mist-ical Shine Spray ($29) for a glistening, just-left-the-pool finish.

Her manicure spoke for itself and read "Mama Cita" in hand-painted black letters on a crisp white nail polish base by celebrity manicurist Tom Bachik.

Now, if you'll excuse us, we'll be trying to re-create this liner look on ourselves.
