  • Megan Fox has a signature beauty look that's undeniable.
  • The secret to her makeup look is all in the eyebrows.
  • Brow artist Tonya Crooks explained how she gets the look.

You don't need to spend too long on Twitter or Instagram to discover that Megan Fox is all people can talk about these days. Certainly, her new(ish) romance with Machine Gun Kelly is fueling interest, but the Night Teeth actress has been a fixture in Hollywood for years and has amassed quite the list of film credits that earn her a rightful spot in the limelight all her own. Fox also has a signature beauty look that's undeniable and turns out, part of that can be credited to an element of her makeup that you've probably never thought about: her eyebrows.

Tonya Crooks is a celebrity brow artist and the creative director of Arches & Halos. She also happens to be Fox's go-to person for her brows. Aside from the usual grooming techniques like plucking hairs, Crooks does one thing to Fox's eyebrows that really gives them shape, and it might come as a surprise. Despite Fox being a natural brunette, Crooks told POPSUGAR she "tint[s] her brows a very dark brown," to make them more pronounced and striking.

Then, she fills them in to create an "ombré look" using two different pencil shades — a lighter one in the front and a darker one on the end. "I then trim any wayward hairs — Megan does not like a feathered edge on the top," she said. The final product used to get Fox's iconic bold brow look is a clear gel.

Fox's brows have been pretty consistent in recent years, but she did admit to over-plucking them in the '90s, which, in 2014, she told Allure is one of her biggest beauty regrets.

If you're feeling inspired by Fox's eyebrow secret, you can try tinting your brows at home using the Arches & Halos New Brow Hero Tint Kit ($15), which comes in six shades.
