If You're Feeling Outraged About Injustice, We've Found Your Beauty Brand

When we learned about Lipstick Lobby last year, we knew it would soon become one of our favorite beauty brands. The brand originally launched with one product, a creamy, pigmented hot pink lipstick called Kiss My Pink ($19), 100 percent of the net profits of which go to Planned Parenthood.

Now, the social-justice-minded brand has returned with a second lip hue, a bold matte red called Outrage ($19), to benefit The American Civil Liberties Union. For each lipstick sold, the Lipstick Lobby will donate $5 to the ACLU and has a minimum contribution of $10,000. The ACLU is an important organization to support right now when many Americans' civil rights are being threatened. The organization works to protect immigrants' rights and refugee rights and prevent and defend against discrimination.

The lipstick is also a genuinely great product in itself. It is a matte, blue-red shade, packed with enough pigment so that it shows up on every skin tone. Since it contains vitamins C and E, it won't dry out your lips, and it's cruelty-free, vegan, paraben-free, and made in the USA.

The opportunity to help uphold the Constitution's promise of liberty for everyone while also indulging our beauty addiction is tempting. If you're anxious to get your hands on these pigmented lipsticks, you can find them on the company's website as well as at Opening Ceremony stores in NY and LA.

Join in the female-led social justice movement while making a bold statement with your lips and see the hue in action ahead.
