Do Yourself a Favor and Get In on the Shimmer Spray Renaissance We Now Live In

As most style writers know, three makes a trend. So when one of my POPSUGAR colleagues saw the Pinrose Secret Genius Shimmer Mist hit my desk back in February, she crossed her fingers hoping similar sprays would follow suit.
It seemed likely: we live in the year 2018, or as it's known in the beauty world, 1998. Styles from the late '90s and mid-aughts are being brought back to life like some sort of low-rise, bootcut-jean-wearing zombie. And you know what? This Pinrose Secret Genius Shimmer Mist ($42) smells like the brand's beloved vanilla and caramel scent, and it leaves iridescent sparkles all over your skin. I love spritzing it over my collarbone to make it look like I radiate rose gold goodness. Such fabulousness is all I ask for in life.

I'm particularly indebted to this Pacifica Hardcore Happy AromaPower Shimmering Hair & Body Mist ($18) because I spritzed it all over myself after not showering post-hot yoga. I then went to happy hour, where no one had a clue that I was just one coat of mist away from reeking like I've never reeked before. Instead of offending everyone with my musk, I smelled like vanilla and coconut while subtly shining.

If Ariel had this Tarte Mer-Mist Shimmer Spray ($22) at the beginning of The Little Mermaid, she probably would have never wanted to leave the sea. This spritz comes out in a salmon-pink hue that faintly coats the hair and skin. It's only lightly scented (of coconut), so even the most sensitive schnoz-owners among us can partake in all the glittering glory.
