During Monday night's episode of The Daily Show, Jon Stewart called out CNN for sticking to coverage of the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday while demonstrators were protesting police brutality on the streets of Baltimore. During a discussion of the red carpet arrivals, one CNN host spoke up and suggested the network talk about what was going on in Baltimore, as many people on social media were asking for information. Another host then replied, "Yeah, it's important. I do want to get to the red carpet." The woman's response prompted Jon to compare the situation to "masturbating in the street."
